How Can I Unsubscribe and Uninstall Plugins in Bubble?

To help you manage plugins in your Bubble app, here’s a complete guide to unsubscribing and uninstalling plugins, handling billing credits, and troubleshooting common errors.

Unsubscribing and Uninstalling Plugins: Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to unsubscribe and uninstall plugins in your Bubble app:

  1. Access the Bubble Editor: - Open your app in the Bubble editor.

  2. Navigate to the Plugins Tab: - Click on the "Plugins" tab in the left-hand menu.

  3. Find the Plugin: - Locate the plugin you want to remove.

  4. Unsubscribe from the Plugin: - If you see an "Unsubscribe" button next to the plugin, click it to cancel your subscription.

  5. Uninstall the Plugin (if applicable): - After unsubscribing, click "Uninstall" next to the plugin in the Plugins tab. If no "Unsubscribe" option appears, directly uninstalling the plugin will cancel the subscription automatically.

Using Alternative Paths:

You may also manage plugin subscriptions via an alternative navigation path:

  1. Go to Settings and then My Plan.

  2. Scroll to the Plugins section.

  3. Click "Unsubscribe" for the specific plugin.

Important Considerations

  • Billing Credits: Unsubscribing partway through a billing cycle automatically credits the unused portion of your subscription to your next invoice.

  • Plugin Usage: Before unsubscribing or uninstalling, ensure the plugin is not being used in any version of your app, including development or other branches. Bubble will not allow uninstallation if the plugin is still active anywhere in the app.

Troubleshooting Common Errors

Error: Unsubscription Not Allowed

  • Cause: If your app plan has been soft-canceled or scheduled to downgrade at the end of the billing cycle, associated plugin subscriptions will be canceled automatically at the end of the cycle. During this time, you may encounter errors when attempting to manually unsubscribe.

  • Solution: No further action is required. The plugin subscription will end in sync with your app plan at the cycle's conclusion.

Missing Unsubscribe Button

  • Cause: Users might not see an “Unsubscribe” button for certain plugins.

  • Solution: Directly uninstall the plugin from the Plugins tab. Doing so cancels the subscription without affecting your app’s main plan.
